Welcome to the Gundaroo Film Society
The World in Cinema

Late News
Well our October screening of the two films Ablaze and Pawno were very different but both Australian
and quite moving as each showed a different aspect of struggles within society.

On 15 November 2025, for our final screening of the year, we have a Meal and Movie night where
we provide an optional, catered, two-course dinner as a fundraiser for the Gundaroo Hall before
screening the French film the Taste of Things.

The optional French-themed two-course meal will be:
First course - 2 choices:
1. Estouffade, a recipe from southern France - a simple and delicious stew of
venison and local lamb with seasonal vegetables and noodles.
OR
2. Ratatouille - with white beans and noodles (vegetarian)
Dessert: Dessert will be an almond tart with fruit of the season.
Cost: $40 per head.
Bookings: Bookings are essential to Colin Lee by Wed 12 November.
Details for bookings and payment are on the Meals page on the
menu above. Scroll down to the section on Meal & Movie night.
Should you have special dietary requirements, please contact Colin to discuss options.

It will be a great way to support the Hall while indulging in a delectable culinary experience.
Alternatively, members are welcome to bring BYO meals, including cutlery and crockery.

The film, the Taste of Things, follows cook Eugenie and her boss Dodin whose romance
blossoms over the 20 years they have worked together and gives rise to dishes that impress
even the world's most illustrious chefs.

Doors open at 6:00 pm for members and their guests to socialise before dinner is served at 6:30pm.
BYO drinks and glasses to enjoy with your meal before the film which screens at 7:30pm.

Looking forward to another great roll-up on Sat 15 Nov 25.
